If you have ever been curious or wanted to give kayaking a try, now is the time! We offer a few lessons throughout the season as well as many kayaking trips. Two Town of Plattsburgh Parks & Recreation Department staff will be on site for each lesson and trip. There are only 8 kayaks available each time so register early (you may always join us with your own kayak!)! There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee for each or trip, which includes the kayak, paddle, and life jacket (PFD). There will be no fee if you join us with your own kayak.
Please, dress appropriately for the weather. Be sure to bring a towel and extra clothes in case you get wet or in case of rain. All participants MUST wear a PFD at all times. We suggest that you wear sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses. You are welcome to bring water/drink with you and are encouraged to bring a light lunch/snacks for all trips.
