| What can you do at the Cadyville Recreation Park? |
The Cadyville Recreation Park offers many opportunities for our community to get out and enjoy the outdoors all year round. 18 Hole Disc Golf Course 1 Basketball Court 2 Tennis Courts 2 Soccer Fields (August - October) 3 Baseball/Softball fields (May - July) Bicycle Trails Geocaching Park Building Public restroom (open May - September) Playground Storybook Trail Walking Trails (Maps available)
In the winter, the disc golf course is open for all to play....even on those below zero days! If Mother Nature allows for it, our walking trails turn into cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails. The basketball court also is converted into an ice skating rink (with the help of the Cadyville Fire Department) if the weather allows for it. |
| Cadyville Disc Golf Course |
The Cadyville Disc Golf Course (located at the Cadyville Recreation Park) is a wonderful family activity. We are always making improvements to this FREE course. It is a 18 hole disc golf course with red, white, and blue tee pads for all abilities. The course is open from dawn to dusk. Please, sign in at the kiosk each time you visit the course!! Score cards available at the kiosk.
It is a fast growing outdoor activity everyone can enjoy. Similar to golf, the object of Disc Golf is to complete each hole in as few throws – or strokes – as possible. Instead of using a golf club and ball, disc golfers use a flying disc to reach the hole. Each hole starts from a tee box and is completed once the disc lands in the “hole”, which is a disc-catching target.
While Disc Golf can be played with just one disc, discs are designed to fly with different characteristics. Different discs can be used to hook and curve around trees or other obstacles, roll on the ground, or fly over trees. Disc Golf is an inexpensive outdoor activity for everyone from school aged to golden aged. Discs can be purchased for as little as $8 each and they last forever...unless you lose one in the trees!
There are no fees to play the course. The Cadyville Disc Golf Course is the first year-round course developed north of Saratoga in New York State. It is now an 18 hole course. Come and check out the activity creating a new buzz in our community!
We are now offering a disc golf loan program where you can stop by our office and borrow discs for up to one week. You will need to leave a $20 deposit for the discs, but you get it back when the discs return. Please, call us at 518-562-6860 to check on the availability of discs.

| Storybook Trail |
Visit our Storybook Trail at the Cadyville Recreation Park to exercise your body and mind! It is located on our trail system (at the end of the parking lot) as part of the Blue Trail. The Storybook Trail has 17 posts with pages to a storybook, approximately 120 feet apart, on the .4 mile trail so that the book can be read as you are walking. A special thank you goes to the Stewart's Holiday Match Grant for helping us bring this beautiful trail to you! |
